After a lot of patience and persistence over the years, it's exciting to show what I know I can deliver yesterday. Onwards to Spain to start the Euro season of racing ✌🏽" (📷: @et_photo_home 🏃🏻♀️: @natalie.vc)

We're doing this every weekend, not because I get to train but because they freaking love being full speed pirates 👌😎(📷: @larszachariassen)

Follow @RunningTerritory for more. FIVE THINGS I'VE LEARNED THROUGH RUNNING 😍
❤️1. Good things take TIME!
It can be so easy to rush the good stuff in running - and in life. But- you cant rush progress- you have to be patient and give your body the time and work it needs to really improve.
💛2. A bad race (or several bad races) do NOT define your future running!
While a tough marathon can feel like a death sentence- don't let it be. After letting too many bad races affect my psyche, I took back control of my mind- and of my future performances & I KNOW that my running future is SO bright. Don't let a bad race dictate how big you'll dream.
💚3. Don't compare your training or progress to someone else's.
That can be discouraging- or just plain unfair. There are so many things that go into any person's results. It's not productive to compare & stack your results against someone else's. Stay in your lane, work hard, and then trust that the results will come for you too.
💙4. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of people that can succeed.
This is soooo IMPORTANT to realize! There is no need to have any type of jealousy or discontentment in running. A rising tide lifts all boats- and there is room for ALL at the top. Be the type of friend & teammate that is quick to celebrate & encourage your friends and teammates. Celebrating them takes nothing away from you. ☺️🙌🏽
💜5. You can't do this alone!
YOU JUST CAN'T!!!!!!!! Running (while not a team sport) requires a team. Friends to encourage you, check in on you, lift you up after bad races, celebrate the wins with you. Training partners to make the hard days just a little more enjoyable & to share in the training load. I take SUCH great joy in having teammates- family & friends & the amazing ig community, that really help to lighten the load & make pursuing these dreams a really fun and amazing journey.
