Sunrise on top of Mars —
Alarm was set for 2:30am to drive up 10,000ft for the sunrise... didn’t wake up til 4:30. Almost didn’t go because it was suppose to be cloudy. Something inside me told me to try anyways and hope for clear visibility.... 😍
I love waterfalls and have been to quite a lot of them over these past few years, but I’m having a hard time thinking of one that left me in awe as much as this one did.
While in Maui, @ChelseaKauai and I spent what seemed like forever scrambling over rocks and up this stream to reach this impressive falls; when we finally turned the last corner in the canyon and saw this 400 foot tall falls for the first time, we freaked out.
It was hard to believe that what our eyes were seeing was real.
The mist from the falls shot down through the canyon, soaking us, but we continued up the stream to the falls itself.
This moment, completely in awe of the beauty of creation, was definitely my favorite experience from the Maui trip.

It’s really just not the ugliest place ever. #maui
Happiness and unhappiness are states of mind. So therefore, they’re real causes cannot be found outside the mind. So if we have a peaceful state of mind we will be happy regardless of people and circumstances. If our mind is unpeaceful or agitated, then even if we’re in really good circumstances we will find it impossible to be happy. So, in other words it’s not what is happening that is making us happy or unhappy. It is how we are responding to those things that determines whether we are happy or unhappy. It is whatever our state of mind is like, that determines our happiness or our unhappiness.

Walks on the beach are a lot like life. It only requires you to put one foot in front of the other. 👣Again and again and again. But.. if you allow yourself to be present throughout the entirety of the stroll, you will experience beauty every step of the way. 🏝| #ragehawaii Pc📷 @kelsealoha ..
