Once again, my company, Senior Home Choice, won the annual Best of Senior Living award, placing us in the top 1% of 45,000 U.S. senior care providers.
Senior Home Choice (Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton) focuses on de-institutionalizing the care of seniors. It differs from traditional assisted living facilities in two major ways: 1) their Assisted Living Personal Care Homes are real homes in real neighborhoods, where seniors receive 24/7 care without sacrificing quality of life and 2) whereas traditional assisted living facilities have one caregiver for 15—20+ seniors at a time, Senior Home Choice has one caregiver for five seniors—offering personalized care almost unheard of in the senior care industry.

Osteoarthritis is Gradual onset of knee pain, stiffness and swelling are typical symptoms of knee osteoarthritis. Arthritis of the knee comes in several forms. Osteoarthritis is by far the most common form, followed by some forms of inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
Osteoarthritis involves two primary processes:
The cartilage in the joints breaks down
Abnormal bony growths develop, called osteophytes or bone.
This degenerative process can lead to abnormal joint function, pain and stiffness. The osteoarthritic process is gradual, with symptoms that may come and go and eventually worsen over a number of years. One of the primary symptoms of persons with knee osteoarthritis is pain. This pain may follow a pattern, for example:
Knee pain that comes and goes, possibly with a chronic low level of pain, punctuated by intermittent more intense flare-ups;
Pain with certain activities, such as bending, kneeling, squatting, or stair climbing;
Knee pain and stiffness that is worse after prolonged inactivity or rest, such as getting out of bed in the morning

LONG BEACH, CA: 10 year old Franky is a big hot mess. And all the while he is still as sweet as can be! Franky is currently at the local animal control shelter and needs a special someone -- an adopter who has the love and the time and the resources to bring him back to full geriatric health. We truly believe there is a match for every person and every dog, and Franky's miracle worker is out there. PLEASE SHARE to help us find him his special someone! 🍀🍀🍀 @lbanimalcare shelter wrote, "Franky is listed as 10, but he may be older. And he is oh so sweet!! He just lights up when you come into his kennel to visit with you and just begs to be loved on. There is not much we know about him other than that he came in as a stray.
Franky is underweight, has otitis external AD, severe periodontal disease with gum recession and loss of bony architecture, severe root exposure with possible oronasal-fistula along the right maxillary canine, and low grade heart murmur (grade I-II/VI). Medical is recommending a dental cleaning (with likely full-mouth extractions) and is now also treating him for a possible URI. He's adoptable per our requirements, but not too many people are willing and able to handle his medical. Franky appears okay with other dogs but due to his dietary food needs we haven't kenneled him with anyone else. He has not been cat tested." To adopt Franky, please email [email protected] with any questions.
