My #2017bestnine 🎉.....The year I discovered Fashion Revolution, tried dairy-free, ran my first half marathon and delved deeper into DIY skincare by making my own masks and scrubs💆
Thank you to anyone who has read my skincare/fashion posts or had a peek at my blog over the past year, it's completely unmonetized so your interest and support is very much appreciated! 💛
Happy New Year's Eve! 🍾
2017... my favourite 9 photos, followed by my official #2017bestnine (I totally prefer the 1st one!). Before I get into a self-indulgent recap on my year, I wanted to share one of my favourite #NewYear practices... Whatever you’re doing today take some time out to think about your experiences in 2017. What have been the good bits? What have been the challenges? And from those challenges, what have you learned? Because even the difficult times bring us a lot, we just have to tune ourselves in to the blessings in every lesson. Because those are the things we’ll take forward with us into tomorrow and every year that follows.
For me 2017 has been a funny and often frustrating one - something I’m hearing from a lot of people. It began with such big plans and good intentions, but just didn’t quite get there. But that’s ok, because there was a lot of learning and an awful lot of healing along the way.
As for my favourite 9 though where do I begin... my favourite photo of #Kali, taken by my brother on the day we introduced her and Inka to their new paddling pool; the best gig I’ve ever seen watching the amazing #Queen and Adam Lambert with my dad; taking my grandma to see a #WWI memorial of her grandad she hadn’t even known existed; time spent with many of my favourite little people; a life-changingly amazing trip to #Glastonbury with @sassylisalister and an early morning climb of the Tor; a past life extravaganza of a weekend with @kissedbypixies13 and the prettiest hat I ever did see; a weekend making new friends and going to see Harry Styles (😍) with mrs_becca_graham; co-pushing my dad through a half marathon for the #GNR2017 with @jayrow90 (and crazily agreeing to do it again next year!!); & video calling with my girls, including @lizash84 on the other side of the world.
It’s been a year of finding my feet in doing what I want to do, of finding myself more than ever before, of making new friends and of celebrating the people I love more than anything who are there for me no matter what, & a year of magic.
Wishing you a perfect day ready fo the year ahead 💜💖xxx

Well what started out as a little bit of a joke between me and Craig Lonsdale about doing the GNR soon started building momentum. We chose a charity and signed up to run for Parkinson's UK. Training started and my personal goals were set , run the GRN in under 2hours and raise £500. Before we knew it race day was upon us. Me, Craig Lonsdale and mark Easton where on the start line ready to go. I was gutted I didn't managed to get my time but I gave it my all and completed it in 2:06:57. Although I didn’t get my time I did manage to smash my target of £500!! I can’t thank you all enough for your generosity which has helped me to reach my official total of £1075.08 raised for Parkinson’s UK which is a charity that deserves huge recognition. Receiving this today makes it all worth while so thanks again to everyone who supported me and donated. #parkinsonsdisease#parkinsonsuk#charity#running#GNR2017#halfmarathon#13milerun
