I am posting this now because i don't plan on being on social media much tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the 12th of December. Cheri's and my FIRST YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.
This day last year we were taking sassy pre-wedding photos with one of our best friends the day before we got married.
My wife is someone who i have always felt completely free around. I feel no one else but her really knows the true me. She has been by my side for over a decade now and i thank God every day that i got so lucky.
This year was nuts. We lost an uncle, we lost a father, and she pretty much lost her family due to their selfishness. We went through physical hurricanes and mental hurricanes. We lost friends to death. We cut of friends due to being used by them.
BUT, We gained SO MUCH this year. More respect for each other. We gained a whole new family. (The MOPS are amazing.) We met someone who we both truly looked up to and it truly was a huge highlight of our year and our honeymoon. And we realized that, whatever happens, we will always be happy as long as we are together.
I can feel it already. 2018 is going to be our year. It is going to be amazing. We will make it amazing.
Cheri Ann Rinn, you have made my year and my life worth fighting for. I fall down 7 times and i get up 8 because of you.
Happy One year wedding anniversary my love. Here is to being goofy. Here is to being healthy. Here is to being strong and here is to being happy in 2018. <3

"My journey into dog rescue started when I was in high school. I learned a significant amount of people are not educated or responsible when it comes to owning a dog where I'm from in North Carolina. I became a volunteer with an amazing rescue, Catering to Cats and Dogs, and before I knew it, I was talking my parents into fostering one dog after another.
We started with litters of puppies just because I thought they were cute, but boy was that tough. Puppies are A LOT of work! My family would take in whoever needed a foster home to decompress from shelters which leads me to sweet old lady Nadia.
One cold winter day, just when we were expecting a huge snow storm, a fellow volunteer looked out her office window to see a woman in a green pick up truck pull a dog out of the car and drive off leaving the dog shivering in the cold. This dog was Nadia. Nadia had a very large mass hanging from her bottom and needed surgery. It was obvious she had multiple litters of puppies. Long story short, Nadia went through multiple surgeries and after 21 days in boarding, still did not have a foster offer. That's when my mom said, 'we have to bring her here.' My first impression of Nadia was that she was the cutest dog I had ever met with the funniest do-it-myself kind of attitude. She went to adoption event after adoption event and after a whole year people continued to look right past her. That's when we knew she was meant to be a part of our family. Today she's running the house side-by-side with my mom at all times. My favorite quality of senior dogs, like Nadia, is the way they bond with their owners. There's nothing that compares to the love she gives each one of us.
