This Wednesday’s wisdom doesn’t come from an older sage-like human that I’ve met, as my previous posts have been. This one instead is a message of which origins I don’t recall. What I do remember is when I was in a not-so-awesome place several years ago - about the time I first started meditating, and my mom gave me my first self-help book (it was Abraham Hicks - do you remember your first?) - this poem struck a chord with me so I wrote it down on a piece of construction paper and hung it up on my mirror to see every day. I still carry these words with me as a reminder of the importance and POWER in planting intentionally positive words in my mind. POSITIVE affirmations and expressions of gratitude are my favorite seeds to plant on the daily to cultivate a more beautiful mind. What are some affirmations that you like to use?

When you undergo a weight loss meal plan you will be consuming less carbohydrates than what you were used to, which will deplete your glycogen stores, and will result in water loss - initially. Now losing body fat requires time and effort. It happens over time and usually hits you like a tsunami! You wake up one day and you suddenly feel you have dropped a lot, but might just be one kilo of legit fat! The dark side of weight loss is that if you stop halfway you will rehydrate those fat cells which will keep your fat loss at bay. Your fat cells need to release fatty acids so you can shrink them.. that doesn’t happen in a week. You also need to bare in mind that the mechanism of fat loss is non-linear. Fat cells are 90% triglycerides and the rest is water and other things. When the triglycerides leave the cell, they refill with water in the short term (explaining the fluctuations on the scale) but if u are consistent and patient with your meal plan the body will drop that water and then voila! A tool I use for personal reflection are my tarot cards. Now before anyone starts throwing holy water on me, allow me to explain the therapeutic benefits I find to my cards.
It's time I'm spending looking inward. I'm reflecting and asking myself questions. I'm allowing the cards to inspire thoughts that, in turn, guide me in reflecting on something on my mind. Positive or not. I need a guided method for looking inward, personal epiphanies don't just dawn on me.
Association is a psychological technique used to help bring thoughts and feelings to the surface. Once at the surface I can spend time in my heart and mind and allow myself the discovery of something new within myself.
Find what makes you happy and do it! Self-awareness is important to me so I am proactive about learning myself. How often do you reflect on your heart?
Time for a bit of #rawness... As you guys know (especcccially if you've been watching my excessive stories 🙈) this week has contained lots of new & exciting & also really scary things for me. I decided to stop holding back & waiting for the world to be perfect before taking that first step - and I did it - I put myself out there! And you know what, it was absolutely incredible. Monday night I got home and cried - I was that overwhelmed with the amount of messages and support that I had received. Both from my gorgeous girlfriends and from girls I've never even met before! 🙏🏼💞
So the next day you'd think I'd be super pumped and ready to keep going, right? Nup. I could not motivate myself to do one thing. I got sucked back into that hole of "I can't do this, what if my workshop sucks, there's way too much to do, I just can't do it". So you know what happened..? I did nothing. I went from feeling more excited & ready than ever to having zero confidence & nothing but negative thoughts - all in the space of 1 night. And you know what it came down to? The only factor that changed in that one night? Mindset. The power of the mind is incredible - and you can either choose to get sucked into that hole of the negative thoughts, or you can take control and train the way you think. Can you guess what I chose? 👊🏼✨
Every once in a while, step out of your comfort zone.
Go a new way, read a new book, say yes to an opportunity you said no to at first. Wear a black leather jacket when it’s not your go-to. Challenge the you you say you’ve always known and see what happens.
It will worry some people and delight the rest.
But always find ways to keep on going and keep on growing.
Find flowers among the weeds, find the positive and happy and joy among the difficulties. Experience true growth and let a transformation begin.

As I dive into the job search I’ve been recognizing irrational insecurities, anxiety and worry surfacing, but by focusing on these three simple phrases, taking more time on my yoga mat and cracking my journal open every day, I’ve been able to quiet those negative thoughts 💛 I’ve been able to remind myself of all of the hard work I’ve put in to get myself where I am today and all of the strength that I have within me. And I’ve been able to accept that the universe will lead me on the right path, at the right time ✨
So as you go into this day remember - you are worthy of miracles and amazing opportunities. you are capable of so much more than you can even imagine. you are strong both mentally and physically ✨
