There’s nothing like being surrounded by 50 acres of eye-poppingly colorful blooms at @the_flower_fields in Carlsbad 😍 Admission here is $16 for adults and I’d highly recommend adding it to your bucket list for the coming spring. It’s an incredible experience 🌼🌷🌸🌹🌺 If you want to learn more about The Flower Fields, be sure to check out the blog by clicking the link in my bio, navigating to the “BLOG” tab, and typing “flower fields” in the search box on the right column. #backyarddestinations
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

"Went out to Donner Lake last night to watch the meteor shower, and it was pretty nuts. So crazy that rocks and objects are flying thousands of miles an hour above us. Just makes you stop n think that everything is still moving around us even if we aren't. Make today the day you move. Don't wait till tomorrow"
25 Days of Adventure:
Day 14, country 14: Argentina!!
Oooooo if I could go and learn more Argentinian tango and dance the night away in a milonga, I'd be a happy girl! Or if I could back to the San Telmo market and get amazing local handmade gifts. Or if I could eat their steak again, the best I've had in my whole life! Or if I could have another wine tasting of Malbec in Mendoza. Or white water raft by the Andes.... the list goes on forever.
Also- this theater turn book store was pretty epic. I'd go back there too!
In our own capacities and reach
We all search for our green shores.
By the loktak, I found mine.
You? Have you found yours?
I was stuck for a couple of days without a bike in Imphal, as my battery started giving me weird problems in the bitter evening cold of Manipur. (The battery eventually died by the time I reached Dimapur, where I am now). While waiting for the service center to fix up the bike in Imphal, I found myself taking a local bus to Moirang to check out one of the most unique natural phenomenon that happens in India.
The Loktak lake is not only the largest freshwater lake of North East India, but is also home to the Phumdis - floating masses of plants and soil. Some of them - like the one in this picture - are small. While others are huge, like the Keibul Lamjao National park, which is entirely located on one single floating island. .
I did not take a boat ride here, as the Phumdis by themselves were not a special sight to see. But what interested me more was the life around them. People had built homes, entire livelihoods on these floating islands. And they traversed between them with the ease of my neighbour just walking over to my home. In search of another floating shore.
You. Have you found your shore yet?
•Non posso farne a meno•
Ogni tanto devo pubblicare una foto di questo gioiellino milanese...dite pure che sono ripetitivo, dai! 😌

Sometimes, the less popular photo spots work out just as well as the more iconic ones 👉👉Just around the corner is the Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) where most of the crowds were, but this made for a good snap too...glad we hung around 😏 ---------------------------------------------------- Drop a festive emoji below if you’re feeling festive! ❄️🎄⭐️☃️🥂 ---------------------------------------------------- #howfarfromhome#destinationdiscoveries#beautifuldestinations#thailand#bangkok
