#transformationtuesday From 2014 to 2017.
In 2014 my sweet little baby, Raelyn, had recently had her first feeding tube placed and I was an absolute mess (still am. 🤷🏻♀️) I was in survival mode, just trying to make it through the days, weeks and months of doctor visits and constant testing.
One of my friends who knew I used to run came up to me one day knowing how stressed I was, and said "mama you need to go RUN."
I did, and never looked back. 👌🏼
By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my before picture and I'm not any "better" in my "after". Yes, being healthy is so incredibly important, run for your health, fuel and honor your body. But just because I wasn't necessarily leading a healthy life in those times, that doesn't mean I was unhappy or unloved. I'm not any better of a person, wife or mother now just because I lost some weight.
I eat better.
I am healthier.
I am fitter.
And I am a runner now.
But I've always been worthy of love and happiness. Remember that doesn't change because the number on the scale dips.❤️

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable!!! Yep! That's right! If you want to see progress you have to expect to hurt!! It's a good hurt though, right?! 😂 Tonight's hurt consisted of 3 mile warm up, 3 mile tempo (6:22,6::26,6:24) 2 min rest, 2 mile tempo (6:19,6:26), 2 min rest, 1 mile (6:13), 4 x 400 (1 min rest) 6:00 pace, 2 mile cool down. 12 miles total. Tonight was just that uncomfortably comfortable workout that I desperately needed in preparation for Chicago. The hamstring held up so I'm grateful for that! The best runners aren't always those who run the fastest, they are the ones that can tolerate pain the best!! Practice being uncomfortable!!! 19 days till Chicago 26.2!!!! 👊🏻💥🏃🏼♀️
