As Christians, the one thing we must all have before God release His promised blessings into our lives is a good attitude. We should not just have a good attitude when things are going good and we are feeling good, God looks for us to have a good attitude at all times. I'm not saying that everyday will be a happy-happy day or that we are to have a smile 24/7. But what I am saying is that we should have an attitude that's humble before God and that's willing to put God's will before ours.
Jesus' attitude is a perfect example of one we should strive to have. In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus had a choice to make - He could of said I'm not going to suffer for those hard-headed people; all they want to do is sin, sin, sin! He didn't get angry with the disciples for sleeping instead of praying with Him, and He didn't get upset with God for not answering Him back at such a crucial moment in His life.
Jesus remained humbled to the Father's will, when it wasn't His will. This was how Jesus kept a good attitude through out His life - by putting the Father's will first, not His own.
Do you ever notice your attitude towards God? Towards other people? Towards yourself? Is it an attitude that God can bless or one He's waiting for you to correct? It's important to know because your blessings may very well be on hold until you work on an attitude adjustment.
God loves you!
Give your life to Christ
Say Lord I confess my sins, and I make You my Lord and Savior.
