This photo represents a morning where I felt present. I just sat there and realized I hiked there and set up a place to sleep and I was proud of that. I wasn't thinking of bills or how I was going to get to work on Monday. I just felt happy that I was there watching the sun rise

Looking back on some photos from a quick storm earlier this year.
I think there are a lot of things that get us excited momentarily. But that one thing that you constantly think about, that continuously makes you smile, do that as much as possible. For me that's photography and how it's taught to see the world in a much more intricate way. I'm constantly thinking as if I'm looking through a view finder.

I enjoy shooting at this view and exploring how to frame it differently as well as seeing how the weather can change the entire scene so easily. It was really windy this particular morning, bringing out a texture on the surface of the water.

This was my first time taking photos of the famous Cypress Tree Tunnel. We wandered around as the sun was setting and the fog rolled in, looking around in awe at the formation of tangled branches over our heads.
